Rainmaker

The summer was dryer than usual. Villagers were beside themselves from worrying about the crops. They were praying to all gods for rain but in vain. Someone remembered that three villages away there lived an old man, famous for his skill to summon rain.

A messenger went and returned with the old man. He asked a hut at the outskirts of the village, water and fresh fruit and vegetables, and said he should not be disturbed.

Three days and nights passed; the heat was increasing. Finally, the old man came out of his hut and said he has done everything he could. The villagers were in despair…

Towards the evening of that day a cloud appeared on the sky. A few more came later; at sunset the sky was half-cloudy. During the night, heavy, nurturing rain fell down the dry ground. The villagers woke up, went out and cheered for the mercy of gods.

The old man was still there, resting for his trip back the next day. In the morning, before he left, one villager asked – how the old man made it rain?

“I didn’t,” the old man replied. “All my life I worked on reaching balance within myself and with the surrounding. Once I reached the balance, I learned to maintain it everywhere I go. This place went out of balance. When I came, I had two choices: to give in to the surrounding and become unbalanced myself, or to maintain my balance and help restore the natural balance in this place. As I managed to stay in balance, this place got what it needed to be in balance as well.”

The villagers thanked the old man, gave him meals, fresh fruit and treats for his way home, and helped him reach it safe and sound.

Here is a list of personal qualities, which millionaires have, according to Forbes:

  1. Millionaires work diligently and use the whole day. Without action the rich people feel psychological discomfort, they feel uncomfortable sitting at one place without doing anything. If you ask a millionaire-to-be when to start a new project, he or she will answer – IMMEDIATELY.
  2. People who earn their millions see opportunities. They look for new ideas and perspectives. Meanwhile, an average entrepreneur finds reasons why something didn’t work out.
  3. In order to earn a million you need to be sure you deserve that money. There is a category of people who treat money like something dirty and negative. Many psychologists call this “the thoughts of the poor”. If such people manage to earn a considerable sum of money they do not feel they have the rights for it. And doing so, they destroy the features of personality that would help them reach success. Millionaires possess an opposite quality, they feel they deserve their money and use them responsibly.
  4. An important skill of millionaires is to set aims properly. They always have a master plan. Of course they cannot plan all the future details but such people have a vision of what they want to make in life. They know how to plan their time and know for sure what their next step will be.
  5. Exclusive feature of a millionaire is the ability to risk. People who made millions on their own property know failures and all possible confusions but nonetheless, they are not scared to risk and are a lot more aggressive with investing than those who inherited the money. Yes, they treat money responsibly and carefully watch the growth of income. At the same time they understand that in order to grow their income they need to risk and spend.
  6. Millionaires know how to earn money doing their favorite stuff. And always find ways to monetize their passions and talents.
  7. A peculiar feature of millionaires is a skill to find smart, talented and determined followers. This feature helps get support, profit and new ideas with perspective.
  8. Millionaires are sure in their ability to earn money. And they have no doubt that in case of a failure they will be able to start anew.

So what do you think? How many of these qualities do you possess?

Feeling lonely?

July 5, 2013 Leave a comment

Loneliness is a state of mind when you are sick of yourself, tired of yourself, annoyed with yourself, and you want to go somewhere and forget about this with someone else.

Self-sufficiency – it’s when you get a delightful shiver from your being. You are happy to be yourself. You don’t have to go anywhere. You are self-sufficient. But now, something new appears in your being. You are so full that you cannot hold it in anymore. You need to share, you need to give it away. And whoever accepts this gift, you feel gratitude to them for accepting it.
